For anyone that’s gone to college or university you probably understand what it means to gain the “freshman 15.” It’s the inevitable weight gain that happens as a result of being away from your mom’s cooking, and thrown into the world of cafeteria food, ordering in at all hours of the night, beer and sleeping in. It happened to me (I’ll never forget the look on my mom’s face when she saw me for the first time when I came home for Thanksgiving), but luckily I worked landscaping that summer with my dad to burn it off. That being said, I would have loved to have been warned and educated about how to avoid it.
